Active Body Physiotherapy

Biomechanical Assessment and Training Programme

The aim of our new initiative is to provide the client with a complete biomechanical assessment that will uncover any underlying problems and/or areas of weaknesses. With these results a structured exercise program will be developed for that individual to help increase their strength and possibly reduce the chance of injury further down the track.

During the patient's first session, the biomechanical assessment will be one hour in duration and then the results will be discussed fully with the patient during this time.

With these results, a specialised strengthening program will be developed so that in the subsequent training sessions the patient will be provided with a full home exercise program. The patient will be correctly instructed in their necessary exercises, and will have all exercises and/or stretches provided on a program card. Each training session will last one hour in duration and will be one on one with our exercise therapists.

With this home exercise program, the client will be responsible for the management of their own exercises but will return to Active Body either weekly or fortnightly to review with the staff so as to progress their program or rectify any associated problems.

These sessions are health fund claimable through the HICAPS claim system, so the client is only responsible for the gap at the time of consultation.

Should you require further information or would like to take advantage of this new program, please do not hesitate to contact Active Body.
