During the first session our Exercise Physiologists will conduct a thorough initial assessment which involves the following:
- Identifying any abnormalities in the cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic or endocrine systems that may prevent physical activity
- Establishing specific/attainable fitness and lifestyle related goals
- Discussion of activity preferences and interests
- Physical examination of the following:
- Blood pressure
- Heart rate (resting and exercise induced)
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Height and weight measures
- Body fat percentage (using body fat calipers)
- Waist to hip ratio
- Flexibility

Cardiovascular fitness
Subsequent exercise training sessions will comprise of the following:
- Each session will be at least one hour in duration
- Each session is tailored to the individual's needs, whether it be in the area of-
- Weight loss
- Injury rehabilitation
- Strength and toning
- Cardiovascular endurance
- Sport specific strength and conditioning

We pride ourselves on staying current with the most recent training and conditioning techniques, and trust that you will benefit substantially from our qualified Exercise Physiologists. Sessions are run in a fun and non-confronting atmosphere that is conducive to improving your health and lifestyle. Additionally, those patients that require consultation with a dietitian or nutritionist we can put you in touch with these services.
